Reverse Engineering – Digitalization for Replication
For the art-in-architecture project “SENSIBELLE” by sculptor Markus Thurner, our technicians carried out a complete 3D digitalization. The objective was to prepare the sculpture for replication and further processing in different sizes.
Using mobile laser scanning technology, we created a high-resolution digital representation in the form of a point cloud. In close coordination with the artist, we then applied reverse engineering to convert the point cloud into a precise polygon model, which was subsequently processed into a watertight CAD model suitable for industrial applications such as milling or 3D printing.
With our expertise in the digital capture and processing of complex geometries, we provide efficient solutions for the reproduction and further development of both artistic and technical objects.
