Body Shell Measurement with Automated Data Evaluation
In a recent project in the rail vehicle industry, we carried out precise measurements of body shells. High-precision 3D metrology systems were used to capture the complete geometry within a very short time.
A particular highlight of this project was the automated evaluation of the measurement data. Deviations in position, form, and dimensional accuracy were identified, structured, and documented quickly and systematically. The combination of efficient data acquisition and intelligent data analysis ensures reliable quality assurance within the manufacturing process and provides a stable foundation for meeting demanding tolerances in modern rail vehicle construction.
