Since the original founding by DI Edmund Weiser in 1975, a great deal has changed. In 2002, the company was re-established with the entry of DI Christoph Kandler. In early 2008, DI Lienhart Troyer and DI Joachim Feldes joined as managing directors. This marked the birth of Trigonos. The name Trigonos is derived from the Greek word trigonon – meaning triangle – symbolizing the mathematical foundation of all surveying: trigonometry.

Dr. Michael Gröbner completed his PhD in experimental quantum physics in Innsbruck in 2017, while also earning his degree in mathematics and physics education. From 2017 to 2019, he worked as a Senior Scientist at the University of Innsbruck. Since 2019, he has been active in the field of metrology as a team leader, and in 2021, he became Head of the Business Unit at Trigonos ZT GmbH. He also obtained certification as a Quality Representative in 2019.
Driven by a passion for innovation and precision, he develops custom high-end solutions for our clients, including the Layout-Robot, a floor analysis tool, automated tunnel segment measurements, and a specialized robot for high-bay warehouses.
Lukas Hammerer earned his MSc in Atmospheric Science in Innsbruck in 2018. As part of his thesis, he spent a year at the renowned SLF Research Institute in Davos. After an adventurous road trip, he began his career in 3D metrology in 2019 as a project engineer. Since 2021, he has headed Sales and Marketing at Trigonos ZT GmbH.
With a strong focus on client relations and sales, he supports our customers in solving complex challenges. He independently manages several key accounts and contributes to the company’s strategic direction.
We support our clients in the design, manufacturing, commissioning, maintenance, modernization, and certification of their products – as well as in the development and optimization of their internal processes. Our national and international customers include companies from all sectors of the manufacturing industry, energy providers, infrastructure operators, inspectors and experts, as well as municipalities and public authorities.
